Thanks for planning our engagement party and bailing for your loser bf. He treats you like garbage & none of your friends like him BECAUSE of this. Someone who threatens to cheat on you or calls you a fat stupid bitch when things get rocky is not one worth fighting for…or losing a real friend for that matter. I don’t need to tell you that i am hurt from your decisions recently. I think you know. You really let me down. 2 months away from our wedding, and you bail on me .
Just had to get it off my chest. thanks bitchers

  1. Ok, little word of advice (I just got separated after an 8 MONTH marriage because she was immature and pretty much enjoyed the thought of a wedding and not the work of a marriage) Ditch her now before things get expensive, she is entirely not ready for this. Do you seriously want to spend “forever” with someone that is “ditching” you 2 months before your life’s most magical and special day…come on, wake up and smell the fire man.

Seriously you need to get away from that person as fast as you can. If you respect yourself you will know that you deserve far better than that from your future wife.

It’s a partnership that requires devoted effort from both people and there is absolutely no room for shenanigans.

Save yourself some: Time, Money, Self-Respect, Heart wrenchingsoul destroying sadness and just move on or hit the pause button bud…for like a decade, she is not ready.

  2. Oh wait, now that is a Der? moment…it says Bridesmaid. ROTFL

    Ok…different advice…

Is she going to be your maid of honor? If no….who cares, it’s the maid of honor’s job to make sure the bridesmaids are in line. Tell your maid of honor to lock that shit down if it’s that much of a stress on you (though really it’s two months away…most of the planning and ordering and deposit requiring reservations should be long done)

Relax…have fun, and remember that on “the day”, you are going to be stressed, but it is not worth it…stay in the moment and cherish even the plan hiccups that are guaranteed to happen!

Hope your day is wonderful and magical.

  3. My advice is this. Stop thinking that because you are getting married that the world revolves around YOU! You are being a typical bride to be who feels that she is a “Princess”. Get over yourself and stop all the drama. I am sure this is the first of many “My day was ruined because…” moments for you.

  4. If the highlight of your life is getting married than you’ll lead a most boring life. Don’t let things like this bother you, think of it objectively: she gave you two months notice, find someone else to fill her place that isn’t a dumb-shit.

  5. OK, if you ask someone to be a bridesmaid I’m guessing that means she’s a very close friend. Therefore I find it totally understandable that you’d be upset that she bailed on your engagement party because of her boyfriend. What happened by the way, was he not invited? Or not want to go? Did he need her immediate assistance in some way and therefore had to pull her away from the party? In any case, that’s a dick move on her part (unless it was a legit emergency). If she has any other responsibilities other than showing up on the big day take them away from her. For all of those who are accusing the OP of being some sort of self-centered bitch, I think you’re missing the point of her post. It’s not “wah wah, you’re ruining my wedding and we all know weddings are the most important thing ever!!!” it’s “I thought this person was a true friend and I just found out the hard way that they’re not”. I don’t give a crap about having a wedding, but I would still be upset if this happened to me!

  6. Oh please. Did you ever stop to think that maybe your engagement party sucked and she wanted to leave? I’d say your friend did more than enough for you because she planned it. I’m guessing her bf was uninvited to your “special event” Geez… you demand your friend be there for you and your fiance, but then bitch about her wanting to be with her boyfriend. Then you tell us all the ways he treats her like crap so I’m bettin’ you’ve said it a million times to her before. Obviously she won’t listen to you so fucking drop it. It’s not all about you, precious. And yeah, “bridesmaid” is not “slave”. Deal with it, bitch.

  7. Outtatown, did you ever think that the BF wouldn’t have been invited because of how big of a douche the OP says he was? Just because the bridesmaid is a friend, doesn’t mean that her BF is anything close to it. Who would want a jerk like that at their engagement party.
