I hope your wives cheat on you and your children disown you. I hope you live a long, wretched existence, and that karma visits terrible vengeance upon you again and again.

You’ve no right to exploit people the way you do. —Someone who formerly trusted in the decency of humanity

  1. I love how ignorant the renters are in this city. Always complaining about the cost of rent going up, evil landlords etc.

Real Estate investors have no obligation to provide subsidized housing. If the costs of home ownership go up, hey guess what, The rents going up as well.

If your landlord has truly wronged you in any meaningful way, you should go to the residential tenancy board.

They will be happy to help you if you are in the right… otherwise, stick to mumbling under your breath.

  2. Gotta be about the Metlej clan. They spell it Metlege too, but they’re all greasy slumlords that probably own five percent of Halifax. They’re responsible for the luxury town houses that are Chebuucto Village and another hundred or so properties.

  3. Didn’t get your damage deposit back?

Details are lacking, OP – care to fill us in to why a thousand camel-toed fleas should infest your landlord’s naughty bits?

  4. Ok so you’ve made your FEELINGS perfectly clear. Now let’s move onto the facts. What happened, exactly?

(hint op: if you can change the subject of the bitch to anything else you want – landlord, wife, husband, dentist, serial killer – that is the litmus test to decide whether or not you’ve actually offered any useful information.)

  5. Sometimes landlords can’t afford to fix the place up trust me I know. I’ve been dealing with spoiled little student tenants who complain about frivolous shit while we keep the rent LOW to coincide with the fact that the place has a few tiles missing or a stove that doesn’t go up to 425 F, large windows and so on. I’m not saying that you have a problem with this situation OP but it gets pretty aggrivating when people move in and they start complaining about the color of the carpet when they already saw it before they took the place, and are paying bottom dollar given the location. I’ve been in arguments where I’ve told them that they can break lease because I’m sick of fucking listening to their frivolous shit. Next group of people move in and are happier than anything. You’d be surprised at how expensive it can be to fix electrical and deck problems plus paint and so on. Just because someone is a property owner DEOSN”T mean they are made of money. There are too many brats who associate landlords with the “fuck the system” mentality and the landlord isn’t even human. Please shut up. Please shut up, oooo please please shut UP.

Not necessarily you OP you might be legit with your situation; I’m just saying. A lot of people love the way they bitch just a bit too much, and are hoping to look and feel like a big victim person.

Let’s casually write songs about them.

  6. Mister Meaty.

What exists that NEEDS to be cooked past 375 or 400 F (keep in mind we tell the tenant that the stove doesn’t go over 400 F and they are OK with it and then they complain later) , and if that is a legit concern, does that outweigh every other point in my comment.

  7. Well, raw meat for one. I’m not a chef or baker, but a pie shell is baked at 425-450. Uncooked fruit pies are baked at 425 for 10 minutes and then the heat reduced to cook longer. So those…. Try allrecipes.com or ask your wife…?!

  8. they’re probably just trying to heat up frozen pizza, which tastes like dreck anyway. 325, 425, its not going to get any better tasting.
bloody hell, I have lived in rentals where you ‘locked’ the back door by flinging a towel into the gap then slamming it shut quickly to jam it shut.

an oven that goes to 425 is not a life/safety issue, sheesh. you’re not going to get sam & ella disease. if the place is cheap, it will have some cranky bits. why the blazes do people think they should get ‘stainless & granite’ on a beer budget.
