  2. No, it isn’t dead … it was in one of these moments, nearly a year ago, that I gave away a piece of my heart. An extended arm following and an offer to carry me down a hill on a slippery sidewalk. That moment, and so many others, during an evening seemingly choreographed by Fate will forever be embedded in my mind; and that piece of my heart will forever be his, whether he wants it or not.
