To the jerky family who didn’t leave me a tip on their $200 bill last night: FUCK YOU! You think being miserable is in my job description? You’re the kind of people who make serving the shittiest job in existence. Next time I’m going to spill beer all over your food and write over that little squiggly line on your receipt and give myself my own fucking tip. And if I see your sorry asses in the street, I’m going to make everyone around me know how fucking cheap you really are! Drop dead, assholes!

I need a new job

  1. OP, please come back and let me know where it is you work, so that i can avoid that place like the plague. Your bitch kinda has me wondering what calibre of service warrants no tip at all. You’re right, you DO need a new job.

  2. Well it is shitty if people clearly just don’t tip because they’re being ass hats, when you’ve done a good job or they’ve been particularily difficult, tipping isn’t a right. Unfortuantly, as discussed in MANY posts before now, many restaurents pay their employees with the expectation they will make tips to supliment their salary, which makes servers a littel..intense about it. but it’s still nto a right. maybe that family only had enough money for their meal, not an extra whatever for you. this doesnt’ mean they couldn’t afford to go out; just that they couldn’t afford to pay you a little extra.

  3. not tip is pretty harsh. I think the serves has to be pretty bad not give any tip. Because that means the OP paid out of their own pocket to work that table.A lot of places “15% gratuity has been added for your convenience” is standard so the group the op served could be used to the tip being included.Either way still sucks to have to pay to serve someone.

  4. What a great gig for restaurant owners huh? They hire servers for less than they are worth and make them pay out of pocket if the customers stiffs on the tip. Then the servers go and blame the customers for the shitty system the owners have set up and maintain. Talk about misdirected anger. Customers and servers both get screwed by this tipping custom and the owners play puppet master and watch the show.

  5. Not the end of the world, but sure as hecks makes your job more difficult. I work in the service industry as well and I am a damn good waitress, but there are some people out there that just don’t think they should tip. You know, if you don’t want to tip ME, then fine, but what really sucks about the whole situation is that I have to pay out 4% of the final sales bill at the end of the night, regardless. So, if you don’t tip me on your $100 bill, I have to pay the restaurant owner $4.00 out of MY OWN pocket for the pleasure of serving your cheap ass. And, quite frankly, none of my customers are worth that.
