It is so frustrating trying to find a seat in any Tims around here because they are ALL overrun with clusters of old-farts and retirees between 7- and 11:30 am taking up every seat in the place! Folks should not be allowed to take up all the seats for two hours at Tims sipping a small coffee with their ONE TimBit… it ain’t friggin’ adult ddaycare, old folks! Go volunteer, get a part time job- or something, but don’t live at Tims two to three hours every day. Just see how fast store managers would call the cops if packs of teenagers did the same thing every day. Welcome to Nova Scotia… no seating available! —Narco65

The old fuckers would probably appreciate the more comfortable seats in less corporate coffee shops but they’re filled with young assholes that order a coffee and plant their asses in them all day long working on their macbooks doing their homework and updating their tumblr.
When they started separating the age groups young people began to think that they will never get old and today they have no respect for the elderly or seniors in general! Whoever wrote this article is an asinine person and one day young people will throw rocks at you!
They probably changed your shitty diapers. Leave them be. Besides, Tim Hortons coffee?!
Having worked in an old-fart cluster Tim’s, most of them are buying multiple items, getting up whenever they finish one for the next. They also rotate out as new farts come in. One of them walked two hours(each way) every day to come socialize. Some of them only socialize at those dinky little tables. I’m not going to be angry about not being able to plop my younger, more resilient ass down because seniors are out getting human contact instead of sitting at home, alone and going senile.
Cranky’s right too. I’ve never seen a retiree take up two extra chairs with a fucking laptop bag and a stack of paperwork like it was their living room and annoyed at all the people coming in to their spot.
Hey, I can AFFORD to sit at times all fucken day long, you can’t youngun, get the fuck out there and work! Or maybe, I’ll go take your job so you can bitch about the old fellers that are taking the jobs from the young people. Which do you want….yeah, fuck off
I keep picturing the two older fellas from the TD Bank commercial
And one day you too will be old OB … and very grateful to have somewhere to go to socialize.
“Old age and the passage of time teach all things.”
Sophocles (the original one!)
Meh, it’s nice to see old people out doing something other than protesting new things, sucking up all the healthcare dollars, complaining, or not paying their part of the debt they left us with. The least of my worries is wading through a sea of flabby arms, blue hair and old people stank to get my coffee, I use the drive thru.
Cranky ftw
They’re old and they don’t give a fuck what you think. You’re young and you’re too scared to say anything so you post on the internet. The old folks win. I say, let them sit at Tim Horton’s as long as they want with their small coffees and tea biscuits.
^^^ mmmm, I could use me one of them tea biscuits right now … heated, with lots of butter and some strawberry jam.
If this is what you complain about OP, you’d life must be fairly miserable.
So Tim’s is full of old people and Starbucks is full of young people. Where the hell should Nukka go?
to hell… you go to hell and you die.

Let the seniors enjoy what time they have left. This may be the only highlight of their day. Take your coffee to go and remember that perhaps this may be you one day.
Someday you will get it, grasshopper. Them ‘old folks’? They have a lot of worth, a lot of value…in their experiences, their stories, their manners. They teach us things when we don’t even realize they’re doing it. Here’s a thought. A social experiment, if you will. I challenge you to look for one older person sitting alone at a Tim’s, ask if you can sit there to (eat your lunch, drink your coffee, etc.). See what ensues. Everyone has something to take away from any given situation.
