To the row of girls who sit behind me in geography ….. SHUT THE FUCK UP!! every day of this semester you come in late, tap your feet on the back of my chair, and constantly talk about who you texted, who was drunk, who wore what … I DON’T FUCKING CARE! must you sit in class? take it to the hallway! why are you even there? I know you’ve seen people turn around and glare. the prof has asked you to be quiet. I’ve asked you to be quiet several times and you roll your eyes at me. grow the fuck up. I am in my 4th year. I don’t need this class, yet I have the decency to respect others around me. You say you want to major in this? good fucking luck! I wish I could see the looks on your faces when you realize you failed this class because you never listened and chose to gossip instead.

  1. ah…. that brings me back.
what is it with the idiots who actually pay to be a nuisance and disturb everyone… all the while failing out after a year?
is it that you want to say you went to university?
that doesn’t mean shit unless you finish it up with “and graduated with a “

  2. aww, it commented out my “insert degree here” because they were between less than and greater than signs. 🙁 boooo urns.
wonder if square braces work… hmmm
    [these work]
    {these work}
    (these work)

  3. I have a few of those at my university right now…
except it’s the msn pop noise and texts being received.
There is such thing as turning your volume down literally.

  4. turn around, say shut the fuck up in a very loud voice, if that has no effect, lay off and punch one of them in the face. problem will be over.

  5. LIFE SUCKS
    Punching them?…law suit.
However, making a spectacle out of them may be the answer by addressing the issue to the prof or class. They’ll remember. Class dismissed.

  6. If you think the school arseholes are bad, wait until you start working – it doesn’t matter what you do professionally, you’ll run into your fair share of shitballs who’ll make you want to eat a box of staples. Learn to cope with it or go postal – your choice.

  7. You have a course in your “fourth year” called simply ‘geography’?

What do you study…capital cities and the major industries?

  8. Geography is an actual major, frosty, and it includes various courses at all levels. I’m guessing OP is taking a survey course and simply calling it “geography” much like others would call a psychology course they’re taking simply “my psychology course”…I did it with my history courses, and I do it with other subjects and pretty much everyone I know in university does the same.

The fact that someone has to point that out to you, Frosty, is kind of telling. Not the brightest bulb in the bush, are we?

  9. Also, Frosty, some people take 1st and 2nd and 3rd year courses in their 4th year. Just so ya know 😉

  10. I know how the OP feels. I bombed out of 1st year philosophy and never got around to filling my ‘science/other non-major credit’ until my last (4th) year. It sucked working on 4th Year papers etc and then having to go and sit in a class populated with kids fresh out of high school.

  11. Try going to a first year university class when your over 35, Cranky. The kids look at you like you have two heads. It totally sucks. When I tried to argue a point, no one argued against me. I didn’t know if it was because they were being respectful, afraid of me or struck speechless by my ignorance = ). If they only knew that I love to be proved wrong–it’s the best way to learn. Actually there was one young guy who argued with me–to the point of hostility, actually. I truly enjoyed it. = )

  12. HKM: not all of us youngins think those over 35 in university are weirdos! Even in my early 20s in university classes, a fair number of my class buddies were mature students (some were my mom’s age, in fact and had kids my age). Same with my “friend group” — our “group” in my first major included many of my friends from HS who went to university with me and the 4 or 5 mature students in our major.

They’re probably scared to argue against you because they probably figure you know more than they do because of your age, honestly. I mean, at least no one’s challenging your points which makes it look like you’re right and your arguments are sound 😛

Also, NGF: why should OP move seats because a few twits can’t stfu in class? Maybe OP sits in a certain seat for a reason? Vision reasons, temperature reasons, audio reasons, etc… are all reasons why some people sit where they do. And what about physically disabled students? Often they don’t have much of a choice of where they can sit (especially in theatres with stairs — they often have to sit at the back where the chatterboxes usually sit), so why should they have to suffer?

OP: tell those twats to stfu or you’ll shove their blackberries/phones down their throats — their choice.

  13. I LOVED taking 1st year java my last year of university… it was a refresher and taken to both overwrite my previous B- and to give me a break my final year so I had time to devote to my other classes.
And there were plenty of older students in my classes throughout… I ended up helping a couple too when I could. They seem to respond better to assistance than the young pricks who already know it all.
