This is to those people who were making fun of the 10 year old pitcher on the kid’s baseball team. It was their first game ever, and personally, I think he did an excellent job.

You guys made me so mad that I was about to have a spaz at you all. When you finally gave it a rest with the pitcher, you started on the catcher, teasing him. Please, do us all a favour and get a life. —Upset sister

  1. Do us all a favour and say something next time. No matter the consequence, you’ve actually done something about it, and you would be a better person for having stood up for the poor kids.

  2. and there’s the reason never to let your kid be on a stupid sports team, assholes that think theirs could do better.

  3. Maybe the kid just really sucked at pitching. Hopefully this will encourage him to do better next time. I know when people tell me I suck as something, while I may feel a bit shitty at first, I’m more encouraged than ever to be better at it. And yes, this happened when I was a kid too.

  4. I’ll never forget the incident a few years back with the two fathers getting in a fight at a hockey game, and the one beating the other one to death (literally). It’s mortifying.

  5. Give the kids a gold medal for trying, yo! Isn’t that the proper thing to do in today’s society?

But on the serious note, adults making fun of kids playing sports is low. OP you should have said something. I don’t think kids are amazing but if they’re just trying to have fun playing a sport and full-grown adults are hurdling insults there’s a time to say something to the yokels.

  6. when the boy played t-ball, the parents were insane…drunk and cursing at the kids. one mom had to be banned, her kid was mortified…T-BALL people c’mon get a grip…grrr

  7. When I was 10 and playing ball the community members would cheer us on and show encouragement. I never got tired of hearing, “Hit one over the fence for me!”

Another good one was, “Hey, NGF, aim for ______’s car over there!”
