create a market and then fill it…with shit. nobody used to talk about fibre, you just ate your oatmeal and died like everybody else. mortality rate 100%
Fibre is an important part of *all* our lives, OP.
Like my dear old ma says: the asshole rules the body.
i thought assholes ruled the world pk…evil rawk
Sadly, geriatrics don’t have the monopoly on bunging up.
That too, PG! 😛
And too true, OL. Fun fact: those with IBS-C can actually have their symptoms worsened by fibre, no matter how much liquid is consumed!
me pa has celiacs, so poo discussion is big in our family…bunged up is the bestest term for not evacuating your bowels
anything to make you think their crap is good. the box is probly better tasting and better for you, with all that wood fibre in it.
Funny thing is, once you reach a certain age, the topic of fibre is as common as hearing “who did you fuck from The Palace last night?” during Frosh Week.
“anything to make you think their crap is good”
Good one, LS. Cereal with fibre…good crap…
Ok I’m too tired for this thread, my apologies.
Antibiotic soaps. Antibiotic marinated meats. Antibiotic creams, antibiotics, antibiotics, antibiotics…
Fibre was not so much of an issue before we started bombarding the fauna of our intestinal tracts with this constant cocktail of antibiotics.
Antibiotic soap? Where can I get some-a that?!
While I do indulge in the occasional antibacterial soap, I don’t think that’s the issue here.. The issue is that Kellogg’s is selling this sugar bomb cereal to kids, which alone is a multi-million dollar industry. Fibre has and will always be important, but companies are just learning to market it. Is it appropriate for children? Eh, not so much.. But what the hell else does Froot Loops have going for it?
It’s this whole “whole grain” craze — just make your cereal with whole grain and parents will buy it for their spawn because OBVIOUSLY it’s healthy if you make it with the whole grain! *eyeroll*
Lucky charms is made with whole grains and is FAIRLY low in carbs. I bought a big box of it as a treat when I was in quebec as my bi weekly cereal purchase…I had two bowls of it and it turned my shit green for the next week. There has to be something fucking wrong with a food if those are the after effects.
Whole grains, sure, but enough chemical dyes to probably do some serious harm upon continued consumption.
Worst part *is*: they *are* magically delicious 🙁
The commercial that really singed my scrote was the one a couple of years back that featured children denouncing their parent’s “Eco-crimes” to friendly Uncle David Suzuki. Holy Fuck – “1984” anybody?
