Had a friend who “moved up” as the family wanted to live with “like people” ~ you know the ones, large salary, all the toys, multiple family vacations per year etc. This became a nightmare for them …. they fessed up they were trying to keep up with the Jones’ (who dey?) yet discovered they didn’t like the Jones’ at all…….
Now, these wonderful people kept their sense of self and have a lovely home in a great neighbourhood where their children are happy ….. the neighbours are fantastic and block parties abound (even during winter) ….. priceless not classless!
