I got on the 87 at Cobequid Terminal early in the morning a few days ago and there you were in the early sunshine looking like a hundred bucks. Your hot pink hair glowing in the sunlight as you stared at me for a second and lightly smiled then some guy blocked our bout of eye contact. I just wanna say you are the most magnificent, beautiful woman I have ever seen. I have never in my life seen someone who instantly made me feel like I was on drugs(good ones that is). I had the massive throat tat and two full sleeves. I wish we could meet and take this to more than a fantasy for me. I’ll be here waiting. —Tatty McThroat Tatts

  1. “Looking like a hundred bucks”
One hundred bucks isn’t that much money anymore, it sounds more like an insult than a compliment.
Well I guess a hundred bucks could be a large amount of money for someone who takes the bus.

  2. Pssssst…I think it’ a million bucks! She may let that slide for the “most magnificent, beautiful woman I have ever seen” though. I was called ‘magnificent’ once…it set my heart on fire. Unfortunately, after 3 years with him, I wanted to set HIM on fire. Got a light, Zed?

  3. “Unfortunately, after 3 years with him, I wanted to set HIM on fire.”

My crush on NurseHezz has now evolved into a respectful fear. I’ll be keeping my distance from you and any open source of flames from now on.

  4. Ohhhh Cap’n…if you knew the story, and you saw him ablaze, you would roast marshmallows lol

I’m just playing. I’m actually a very nurturing, compassionate soul :)!

  5. “Roast Marshmallows” – Haha, well done Hezz, that was excellent. I had a good guffaw at that one.

I’m just teasing ya anyways, all the nurses I know are pretty compassionate people as well. It’s too bad that you got stuck with someone who sounds like your polar opposite :S Oh well, The Captain guarantees a brighter future for you!

  6. LOL mKegg…your comment actually amused me quite a bit. Does anyone else find “Love’s” like this extremely awkward and weird?

  7. Most of us are compassionate, yes. I think some of us are born to do it. There are a few bad apples though…crotchety burn-outs who can be downright rude and unfeeling to patients. I hope I never lose my passion for taking care of people…it truly does run through my veins.

Luckily, Cap’n, I ‘unstuck’ myself with him and showed him the exit. If anything, I learned exactly what I DON’T want in a relationship. Everything is a learning experience, good or bad. 🙂

  8. NurseHezz Was the bastard you were in a relationship with in the navy?I met a lot of nurses that were unlucky in love, with abusive navy men.I’m glad you got out safely…A lot of women weren’t so lucky.

  9. “Some people caalll me a baaad apple..
but I may be sweetest apple oonn the tree.”

You’d know best Nurse. Obviously being surrounded by other nurses, you get to see the best and worst of ’em. I’d guess that you won’t lose your flair tho, especially since you’re the type of personality to notice these shortcomings in others. Now you know what NOT to do!

I guess I’ve been lucky. Every time I go through a Hospital to get something stitched up I’m always treated exceptionally well by all the staff. Even all the nurses in my family are very decent human beings.

  10. He wasn’t in the Navy, Boru, but it is very true that many nurses attract assholes, and we think we can ‘fix’ them. Sooner or later, we figure out that we can’t ‘fix’ a man. It’s quite draining, really.

Lucky isn’t the word, Boru. This guy was a tyrant. Of course, they never let you see that in the beginning. It’s a gradual unveiling.

Cap’n, I’m glad the nurses treat you nice! 🙂

  11. NurseHezz These abusive assholes don’t show a woman how abusive they are untill your barefoot and pregnant or just afterwards. When your hormones are raging and you don’t feel good about yourself because of your size(big pregnant belly). Unfortunately, I have experience.

  12. “Sooner or later, we figure out that we can’t ‘fix’ a man.”

*ahem*vasectomy*cough*cough*… Sorry ’bout that, had a tickle in me throat..

  13. “they never let you see that in the beginning” SO true! I’d almost rather someone be a tool upfront.

  14. Ladies If a guy tells you that he can be a “mean guy” run,run very far away from him.If not he will fuck up your life….Trust no one. 🙁 :-/

  15. You know what is even scarier, Boru? A guy who doesn’t tell you he can be a mean guy lol…the wolf in sheep’s clothing. Those are the one’s who blind-side you when they snap :-S

  16. Tatty, your post got a little hijacked by the comments. Good for you to post and compliment a woman. She will sure cherish it. I know I would.

  17. Stick around @ gentle rain…By the end of it, we’ll likely be talking about politics, local restaurants, road rage, unplanned pregnancy, dating sites and cute kitties 🙂

  18. Throat tats? Why? I usually associate throat tats with somebody who has spent some time in prison. It may be inaccurate but it is my own visceral reaction.

  19. we have customers and friends with throat tattoos, tho i understand your reaction critter guy. if i saw a group of people all dressed the same way with the same face tattoo, i’d turn around^^

  20. I was told a teardrop tat on the outside corner of a guys’ eye, supposedly means they killed someone.

  21. throat tats aren’t that outrageous… unless you’re a douche-wrapper like Chris Brown.

Though he started by calling her an imbecile.
Pinky may be the mayor of shiny pants but he’s still a total dolt with such insights as ‘narf’ and ‘poit’.

anyways, I got a light for ya hezzy.
    My fire’s always raging.

  22. Boru… or they want to give that impression.
It’s not like you have to prove you did to get one.

  23. SheSang I like buzz cuts too but,I’ve never been with a guy that had long hair.A lot of guys with long hair have better looking hair than my own hair.I don’t think I could date a guy who’s prettier than me.Lol…Tats,I never dated a guy with tats either.I like the look of black and white tats more than colour tats.

  24. Hey Boru:) I meant buzz-cuts reminded me of prison (but, unlike Troodon, throat tats don’t)….my ex has really long hair–much nicer than mine (maybe that’s why things didn’t work out–lol)…no tats tho–too bad, i really like tattoos…..

  25. btw Boru, i recently learned that the ‘teardrop’ can often rep loss of a loved one too…

  26. Okay, I’ll backpeddle a bit here. I’m talking tattooes that take cover most if not all the throat or all the arm for that matter. I just associate that with biker gangs or prison.
Normally I like or don’t mind most tattooes, just those. It’s not a rational judgment just a visceral or “gut” reaction. I’m sure most with those tattooes are fine people.
