My friend got barred from the palace very recently apparently because of something said on facebook pretaining to the fact that its unjustified that the dome had to raise their drink prices and the palace didnt?? That is what the bouncer who asked my friend to leave said. After co-opperating and kindly leaving with no argument, the bouncer advised that ‘barred for life’ means you can be arrested if you try to come back.
Facebook is a freedom of speech and I think there are underlying issues with this situation, that have nothing to do with facebook. The Palace needs to be re-vamped. Not only was the bouncer overly rude and had no right what-so-ever to ask my friend to leave, the coat check girls threw our coats at us and the bartender tried to serve one of my friends water in place of vodka. Is this the image the Palace wants to be displaying to their customers? The Palace no more.

Don’t worry, in a few years you’ll wonder why not being allowed back into “The Palace” was so important to you.
There has got to be something behind the scenes here because otherwise someone at the Palace would have to be trolling around facebook making up list of people they don’t like. That seems like a bit too much effort, and it seems a little sketchy from a legal standpoint. Just count your blessings you will never have to dance on THAT sticky floor again.
What most folks forget to realize (especially after a few drinks) is that the Palace or the Dome or any other bar/pub, etc. is not a “Public Place”. These places are actually privately owned businesses and legally within their right to not-serve or ban anyone WITHOUT reason. You have the privilege of being there (like anyone is privileged to be at the Palace…lol), you don’t have the right to be there.
