I love you, your cheap beer, and awesome staff. The atmosphere is perfect and it’s always a great time with great people. You’re by far my favorite bar and I love bringing people there. Thanks for letting me spend my student loan money on your cheap beer, I can’t think of a better way. —Lutes lover

I hate it when I don’t know where you are referring to…
I think they tout the Split C___ as the oldest…
but it used to have another name way back when and I can’t think of it.
eagles head or something?
unless the harbour hopper girl was lying through her teeth…
I never bothered to confirm.
Spread Eagle … that’s it. not sure how I couldn’t remember that…
I did write dear resolutes club but they left it out!
The oceanpony is the oldest… running in consecutive years. Though I think the split bird if you look at the first year it was opened is the oldest. That’s what the bird’s bar dude told me once.
I should have known by the signature that it was the Lutes Club… I love this little place… discovered it when I played for their senior men’s soccer team a few years back…. Lovely cheap drinks and there is a lot to be said for some of their bar staff…. any Locas goers may catch my drift on that one…..
and don’t listen to those harbour hopper folks they’re full of shit, they tried to tell our group the Halifax explosion broke windows in Truro! yeah, right…
well it was the largest non-nuclear, accidental explosion…
I bet they felt it.
shook enough to break, maybe not…
ah yes the infamous harbour hopper, the highlight was when people mooned them on citadel hill…and according to locals they are sadly misinformed
