1. When Halifax Women place a profile on a sex site, don’t expect to get other than emails from people just looking for that.
2. When placing a profile on a site, for some reason you get replies from people outside of this province. In the entire 2 years a profile was up, all I got was msgs from prostitutes!

I don’ think anyone that has this spent enough time on online dating sites is in any position to give an opinion on the looks of NS women as a group. The attractive ones, (and there are many), can usually be found outside, in public places,at work, and in social settings around other people, not locked up in their living room updating their non-existant profiles on imafuckingloser.com. The caliber of women (aesthetically) you’ll generally find on these sort of dating sites is on average about 2 notches (on the 10 scale) above the caliber of Men you’ll find on these sites. I wouldn’t be so harsh, considering.
Note to live by: there are no guarantees on the internets. Don’t expect anything either, because 99.9999% of said anonymous trolls are utterly unpredictable.
And, If you’re taking dating sites this seriously, please for your own sanity step outside and breathe fresh air.

The body images of girls of the near future are going to be so out of whack, it’s sad. It’s already pretty bad, but as we see more and more supposed perfect people on tv and in magazines that are skeletal and airbrushed within an inch of their lives, not to mention all the cosmetic surgery they’ve had, we’re losing our perspective on what normal looks like.

And the criticism mostly seemed to be of the “look at teh fat” variety, not “you’re setting up millions of women for failure.” It’s a giant fucking scam.
Photoshopping has gone way too far. I remember when even if a model was PS’d you could still see her pores, she still looked sort of real. Now they look like plastic mannequins. Hopefully the industry will experience some kind of backlash as it moves closer to self-parody.
I hate the images portrayed in the media, and it’s becoming worse year over year. Al you need to do is watch one episode of the new 902010 and you can see how the media is pushing the envelop as to what is attractive; Grimey is a bleedin’ skeleton, so are half of her cast mates. I’d hate to be a teen nowadays, there’s way too much pressure to be “perfect”. What really shocks me is that it’s slowly making it worse for men. There used to be a time where it didn’t matter if you had a bit of a gut, but now it’s damn near social suicide to be slightly overweight. Which is really crazy given the rates of obesity in this province in teens and children (not to mention adults too).
What bothers me the most about this post is that I am about 99% sure that the OP is absolutely nothing to look at. When below average looking guys feel that they deserve anything more than what they are projecting it is just delusional and sad. DF – I have actually seen guys I know make comments like this; granted, most of them aren’t Jared-homely but their expectations are too high.
