To the person who thinks they have the right to turn the prospect of beautiful Christmas decoration displays in to environmental killing machines. I love the environment just as much as the next guy but come on, give them a break! They’re only trying to spread their Christmas spirit which you are clearly lacking. Maybe next time you go and open your big mouth on any means of media you should suggest a possible solution to this environmental problem you keep harping on about rather than just contributing to the people of HRM’s headaches. Don’t turn peoples joy in to a tree huggers protest grounds. —The People of Whoville

  1. The line between idealist and ideologue gets blurrier everyday; and secular fundamentalists are every bit as puritanical and tedious as their bible thumping, choir-boy humping brethren. Beneath the unwashed dreads and “I♥KYOTO” t-shirts are a Chekist’s leather coat and a Red Guard’s sadistic leer. It’s your hard-earned dollars paying for the Christmas lights – let ’em shine, Brother>: )You still have that right.

  2. Clearly, Cindy Lou OB, you have never seen a flaccid Santa in the dawn’s early light. Curdles your wame, it does.

  3. Probably those pesky Occupy protesters. I wonder how the Court proceedings against those protesters who were arrested is going? Can’t wait to hear they get hit with fines and jail time.

  4. You say “I love the environment as much as the next guy” then later use the term “tree hugger” which is commonly used as a derogatory term for somebody who takes the planet’s health seriously. Sort of reminds me of people who say “I’m not racist but…”
Yes, this may not be the be-all, end-all of environmental issues but don’t post under the pretext that you’re green OP and then use that term, it doesn’t wash.
