Isn’t it awesome that a certain brewery is releasing special beers using Hallertauer and Cascade hops? Probably two of the most common beer brewing hops on the planet! Reminds me of that episode of Mad Men when they’re coming up with a campaign for a Virginia tobacco company… —Cranky

just didn’t expect anyone to get all that worked up about it.
are there not hop growers in the province? do they have different variaties? i know people who home brew and they use many different hops and other ingredients
I believe it may be Garrison’s that was using hops that were grown in small batches at the Ross Farm Museum.
Don’t drink beer or have HBO so I’m not much help to you, Cranky.
Its not so much that they’re using those particular hops, its just that they think the consumer will be tricked into thinking its worth mentioning. It’s like coca-cola saying that they use cane sugar.
I don’t have HBO either, no cable at all, actually, that’s what torrents are for.
I’m not worked up. Just haven’t posted anything in awhile.

Sure… I bet it tastes nothing close to what it did back in 1820. Now it is just mass produced and watered down in order to appeal to the majority (I guess I can’t blame them from a business perspective), but give me beer that actually tastes like beer.
I find it funny when people argue about coors, bud, blue, molson, etc. being the best beer. That’s like having to pick your favourite music group out of N’sync, Justin Bieber, Backstreet Boys, New kids on the block, etc.
Today, the Chinese brew his beer,his way…. No Sandy Keith’s beer isn’t brewed his way anymore.
I knew someone who worked for the Brewery.It’s a shell of what the company used to be.
North American companies used to buy up Chinese companies,now it’s the Chinese who are buying up north American Co..With that, our workers are loosing benefits like good medical and dental insurance.
