I have just paid a parking ticket for the overnight ban from Dec when there was no snow and also received a clean the sidewalk notice but the walk was clean enough. Dear city hall, please plow my street and hold up your end of the bargain. —Maui man on moran aloha

I don’t think ‘clean enough’ cuts it for the disabled and people with strollers and just anyone else who’s walking by.
Hooray, more money for the Oval.
if the city is going to hand out fines to people for not having the sidewalks cleaned up properly, then they better start cleaning the ones they are responsible for a little better as well. lead by example sort of thing…
if it ain’t clean by their standards, that’s why the ticket, or whatever. i have seen some pretty messy areas, in hrm, that leave me bewildered as to how, they are getting away with it. and then we have areas, that are plowed, only to have 3 inckhes of that white slushy shit still there, to freeze over.
hailsucksdick, do your own fucking sidewalks, then maybe your citizens will do theirs too. yes, i know they are contracted out, but doesn’t anyone ever check up on these people, to make sure they are done right. when i slip and fall, hurting my already bad back, you know i’ll be seeing someone in court, to sue your motherfucking skanky asses off.
i’ve slipped 3 times this february alone because the apartment complex just decided to put up a sign saying watch out as a get out clause for they cant be arsed.
My street rarely gets plowed. It is too steep and slippery to walk down covered in snow and ice.
My street is 5 feet narrower after that last snowfall, and they have the gall to ticket homeowners for not doing the sidewalks. More shitass hypocrisy from HRM. You should fight the ticket and say that you have already hit your budget this year for snow removal so they can GFT.
The ways the city drains our pockets, I say.
