I’m waiting to cross the street where Sackville turns on to Bell Rd. (CBC building corner) There’s a family with mayba a 7 year old daugher waiting on the opposite side. Light turns green, we start to cross and the car we are crossing in front of decides to make her right turn on red cutting off the family walking towards me. She backs her car up. She is on her cell phone. “Hang up the phone” the family suggests in a sing songy fashion. Cellphone ladys arm is out the window giving them all the finger. “you were on the side of the road!!” she yells.
Yes, yes…that’s usually where we wait until the light turns green. Not in the park or at the post office. If she had hit their daughter would she still have flipped them the bird and driven off.
People, people, my message: Just admit when you’re wrong. Say “I’m sorry”. I see drivers and pedestrians alike making mistakes all the time and so often get furious at the person they’ve wronged (misplaced anger with themselves?)
Bird flippin’ cellphone lady, I understand how you could have made that mistake, but it was YOUR mistake. Just say sorry. Don’t be such a nasty lady. You will have a happier life.

That’s when you’d want a paint gun handy – loaded with baby shit yellow paint. Well, at least the boobs in government are doing something useful and outlawing cellphones while driving April 1st. So Birdy will have one less claw to flip. What a stupid, angry idiot.
