Nicely put. I’ll add another:Thou shalt not talk loudeth on thy cellphone and annoyeth other passengers with stupid conversations.
Here’s another: Thou shalt give the bus driver a signal that you DON’T WANT the bus approaching your stop LIKE SHAKING YOUR HEAD “NO”, if you’re standing at a bus stop that is serviced by MULTIPLE routes.

I was curious if me nodding no was appropriate. Sometimes I stand there giving the no sign, and they don’t see. I can’t tell with all he has to watch for when he notices me doing it.However, I don’t want to stand there shaking my head no when someone on the bus has pulled the cord.Is it “shaking” your head no? There is no shaking invovled, its more “rotating”.
Head shakes are acceptable, as is waving your hand in a “nothing to pick up here” sense. If the driver lets someone off, so be it, you don’t look like a tool for being polite & courteous.Thou shalt keep thine volume at reasonable levels, be it in conversation, music listening, video gaming or any other activity containing sound. Reasonable shalt be defined as others on the opposide end of the bus not being bothered by it.Thou shalt have fare ready upon boarding the bus. This is doubly true if one is in front of a line getting on said bus. If thou hast not the fare at the ready, please head to rear of line where thou wilst have more time to gather thy fare.Thou shalt thank thy driver if he or she hast done you a courtesy. Encouraging good behavior shalt reduce incidences of “cranky old driver” syndrome, experienced by young and old drivers alike.
