To the family in the frontmost left pew at the Steve Earle concert: thank you for being the most obnoxious concert goers I’ve ever witnessed. It baffles me how you were capable of showing up at 8:30 and remain stupid-drunk (without drinking anything) for 4 hours.
People paid $55 for tickets for a quiet and intimate environment with the artists playing that night. Which we had once we were able to block out your “WHOOOOS” (during more somber songs) or “PLAY GALWAY GIRL”.

What kind of concert do you get to sit in a pew? drunk?
the same kind that they dont expect standard concert antics!sounds to me, like a sunday night christian rock show in a church. with the priest on drums.kinda like Fratello Metallo i gather.. (seriously, google that. youll be amazed)
I’m pretty sure Catholic churches are no strangers to having drunks in their pews. Bha-dum-pa!
I was at that concert too, and I agree with almost everything you said. Yes, they were obnoxious and ignorant and I wish I had the balls to shove socks down their throats. However, even a chorus of red-neck hillbillies hollerin’ “WHOOOOO” non-stop couldn’t ruin that concert for me (and the three people I was with). What a terrific show it was!! Simply amazing. My only regret was that Steve actually did play ‘Galway Girl’. As much as I like the song, it galled me that those assholes actually got to hear it performed.
