Were you standing too far away from the stop? Unless you make it clear that the bus that is approaching is the one that you want to get on the driver will assume that you’re waiting for another bus.
Or perhaps the number on the bus isn’t on the sign.
I was on a 52 that blew past 4 people standing at the bus stop at the end of North right before the MacDonald bridge, mid morning. They were waiting by the curb and he tapped his brakes and then hit the gas. The bus was only half full and a few of us shouted but by then it was too late. There was no reasonable explanation. WTF? Is it some sort of bus driver revenge?
The problem is likely that they sometimes get sandwiched between a rock and a hard place. They have so many minutes to complete their route. If they fall behind, they cannot meet up with the connection that the people on the bus are wanting to make. I guess it comes down to getting half of the people to the connection or none of them. And, this decision is generally reached knowing that another bus is not too far behind (if it isn’t running late). Kneeling stairs, wheelchair set ups, trains of toddlers at one stop, etc. all cause the bus to fall behind.
elocin i hope you called metro transit immediately and informed them what the driver did.

same thing happened to me last week…still havent heard from a supervisor
had the same thing happen…also had a driver that cut off a few streets on his route(unfortunately one of those street had my stop on it) because he was running behind…I appreaciate having them…but sometimes I really wish they worked better

I wrote a letter to Metro Transit over a valid complaint. I was told I would receive an explanation. One month later, nothing. I guess it’s time for me to resend that email to them asking WTF is up with them and how do I file an official complaint against them. People should boycott Metro Transit!
next bus will be along in about 5 minutes, sound familiar.
