To the staff at a new recreation facility in a neighbourhood close to Bayers Lake: Thanks for being so awesome! Last night was my first night working out there and all of you couldn’t’ve been more helpful. I was unfamiliar with the set up of the resistance machines and the machines themselves, and the desk staff were more than willing to help out with their operation and with directing me to machines that would target the specific areas I was looking to target. I never really got that sort of reception/help at the gym I used to go to. As well, thanks to the other members who are awesome as well. Everyone was so friendly—holding doors for each other, smiling at each other. Overall you guys made it a great experience as well. Another factor lacking at my last gym! There was a wide range of people (fat, thin, young, old) there last night which was great to see! Great welcoming environment, which definitely encourages me to stick with it. —Pretty Kitty

Isn’t it an amazing facility?? I’ve never been there to work out, but I’ve toured because we’re hoping to hold an event there. Just lovely 😀
neato…and more holding of the doors^^
Exactly!
… and a machine that rings out bathing suits in the locker rooms. How neat is THAT? heehe
Oooh and a hot tub too! there’s one of those as well! I’m hitting that shit up tomorrow night! 🙂
how are you today miss kitty? i just got a bunch of needles stuck in my spine^^
Feeling your Pain, aptly named girl but hopefully relief will come soon. Did spending it in drydock make February less horrible or more so?
it was mostly lonely. i like chaos and people and pets and talking^^i should have relief in a day or two. they were amazing at the pain clinic, thanks dr. p and c you guys rawk
acupuncture? or actual science needles?
like anti-inflammatory cortisone?
haha, actual science zZz…no mumbo jumbo for me
Still sick, painey but in better spirits than this morning. I totally relate on the loneliness end of things. There’s one person in the entire world who I want a hug from and some QT with, but that’s not likely to happen. No time for PK 🙁 rooooooooo.
I’m guessing your needles were cortisone, right? Ouch. But it’s worth it in the end if it brings relief (and brings ya back to the board++ we frigging MISS YOU! :)) My dad had the same thing done for some scar tissue and he said it brought tears to his eyes it hurt so much, but cleared things right up. Please take care of yourself! I’m thinking of still going over and sitting in the hot tub for a bit tonight hoping it might help the awful awful lower back/lower ab/pelvic muscle spasms I’m having — you should join me! It’ll help your back! And we can co-miserate! And talk about kitties and dogs! LOL. … and the stupid parking ticket HRM decided to give me this morning after I even overfed the meter 🙁 boo.
I hope you’re feeling tons better! My doc gave me some meds and I’m hoping those’ll provide a much better tomorrow than today. Hot tub tonight and possibly the acquisition of some new reading material are brightening my spirits up (along with two very concerned and overly-snuggly kittehs!) 🙂 That and the crappy, crummy, yet deliciously comforting hamburger helper i plan on shoving down my throat for lunch. Screw dieting today. I’m going to my ultimate comfort food for love and attention.
mmm…hamburger helper. the pills i’m taking kill my appetite but that sounds yummy. i had the same shots 8 years ago and never looked back(haha). the coughing and spewing when i had the flu brought it on. luckily i was a repeat customer at the pain clinic, same great doctor. no hottub for me just yet…ice ice baby. ♬ you are always on my mind ♬
Just stay away from the track…that’s where all the annoying kids hang out not paying attention to which lanes they should be in…and act surprised when I run into them!!
HAHA just yell “MOVE!” and they’ll get the picture! haha.
I think i may enjoy the track WAY more than the treadmill and I can switch between running and jogging/running quite easily for some interval training.
Also: yay! bread girl! here’s hoping!!!!
I guess we’ll see. I also wish I was a bit taller because the fans on the treadmills go right over my head 😛
