Female driver / glasses / grey car/ Robie St. heading North at 11:30 on Friday Dec. 4. I can’t be 100% sure but as I inched by you in the next lane it looked to me like you had your phone on your lap and were texting while you were stopped at the light. If I’d gotten your plate I would have been tempted to report you so that you at least got a warning about distracted driving. —Rex

Rex, this won’t help. And of you were able to inch by, you could have gotten the plate number.
Driving texters should be thrown in jail for a week. That would send a message once and for all. Texting while operating a 2000 lb. vehicle is irresponsible and criminal.
She was stopped at a light. It’s not like she’s mowing people down because!

Says the woman texting at the light…
I have a balcony that over looks a major intersection. I would say just under half the drivers do the ol’ look down at their phone when the light is red.
I’ve also been rear-ended twice while sitting at a red light, both by people on their phone while driving.
