I know everyone’s bitching about the Dartmouth terminal right now, and needing a bathroom for drivers, etc… But what the hell happened to the Mumford terminal? Who is responsible for its upkeep? They can build all the terminals they want, but if they fall into disrepair and uselessness what’s the friggin’ point? The concession is gone, and now the terminal is just an empty room with no benches. A notice on the bathroom door was posted in 2007– the bathroom has been closed for MORE THAN THREE YEARS! What’s the fucking point in building a terminal (with our tax dollars?!) only to lock it up and not use what was built? When a Sunday transit trip takes three hours, I want a place to use the bathroom somewhere along the way! —I need to pee

There’s no point in building concessions just to be robbed, shelters just to be trashed and public washrooms just to be turned into shooting galleries for junkies and love nests for cruisers. It sucks, I know, but the devolution of the species has been going on for quite some time and is gaining speed with every passing day.
yeah o.p., what did happen there? no one really kows, but can only guess, was it because of robbery, not enough business, or just that they got tired of being there and selling their overpriced stuff?
who really cares where they went, as long as the can stays. and yes, they should have a bathroom at all major terminals, but due to the wandering little fuckheads, that will never happen.
I know it’s beside the point, but the walmart beside the terminal likely doesn’t care if you use their washrooms….

Why not heed the advice your Mom always told you before getting into the car: “Did you use the bathroom?” The bus doesn’t stop for pee breaks.
That’s the same location where the student from the Netherlands (I believe) was mugged and assaulted two weeks ago.
I used the mumford terminal washroom in 2005, once (when it was sort of new, I guess) and it was SCARY. I don’t blame MT for closing that mofo. I was with a friend of mine and it was around 10pm (we were going downtown) — we both went in because we didn’t want to leave each other alone outside the washroom, and we had drunk crazies banging on the door because two girls were in there together *eyeroll*. It was full of graffiti, filthy and had a hypodermic needle container, which creeped us the fuck out.

The Terminal in question is the responsibility of the mall, if you want it fixed contact them…..
I agree with you totally OP. For awhile there wasn’t even a schedule in that terminal – not sure on the status of it now, but it doesn’t really make sense. I think if they want to put in the bells and whistles, they are going to either have to lock the terminal at a certain time or have some kind of security… which is again another cost. We shall see what happens.
