i live in an apartment building in fairview, have been here for 6 year now, going on 7, and the guy that owns this place is cool. i have no complaints, and have never had any.
the rent has only been raised by 25 bucks once, in the whole time i have been here. you sound like a good person, and i hate seeing good people get fucked over. the tenancies board will do shit all for you, that i know for a fact. good luck, and by the way, our rosie is looking for a place, maybe you and she can get together on that. she is a nice person, and would hope that she gets another place soon.
What you do is go to Access Nova Scotia and get an Application to Director. A tenant cannot sub-lease their unit WITHOUT permission of the landlord. But please tell me you did not accept any payment from the leftie but only from your original tenant. If you took money from the leftie then you have a relationship with them and they are on a month to month lease. If you did, then you can give them three months notice.
1 month if on monthly rental.with no lease signed.
