It’s also the law that taxi drivers are not allowed to smoke in their public passenger vehicles. Next time write down the roof light number and report him to the Taxi commission.

excuse me but, most of the drivers i know, do not, repeat, do not smoke in their cars. i have even seen them, get the fuck out there, in the pouring rain or snow, away from said cab, to grab a drag. i think you are just over sensitive to shit. either that, or you are here, just trying to stir up shit, for fuck only knows what reason.
i know people that have acute sense of smell too, and no, they cannot detect even a bit of smell, from the majority of cabs.

Isn’t smoking in the workplace against the law as well? Technically a taxi is the workplace.
I’ve seen taxi drivers smoke in their car but never with passengers in it. But you’re right the car shouldn’t smell like smoke at all.
Oh seriously, fuck off. Taxis never smell good. When you pay to go into a bar, do you expect that it will smell good too? I’ll bet you’re one of those bitches who walks right through a smoking section instead of around it and coughs loudly. You were probably just being over sensitive.
As well as smelling bad… I was in one recently in Halifax, & it had Indian/Persian or Arabic music ( I cannot tell them apart) it was all shrieking & wildly clanging cybals/bells/gongs ,but it had a nice beat to it .
(someone just needs to pull the huge ice cube out of the singers ass… either that’s the problem, or stop torturing them so close to a microphone ! ! ! )
A taxi driver smoking? Never. Of course they smoke. Give them a smoke as a tip, encourage their lung cancer.
