Hey guy sitting across from me doing the crossword while listening to your iPod. Nobody wants to hear the incessant tapping of your pen as you ponder five across. This is a cafe, people come here to study and relax, perhaps engage in quiet conversation. Do you not feel the razor sharp stares of death coming at you from every angle? STOP… PLEASE STOP! OMFG… you just got your food and you eat almost as loud as you drum!

given the noise level in cafe’s as of late, quiet converstation is a thing of the past. you can manage to hear a pen tapping? LIke…..WOW. You probably want to keep that little spot to yourself.most of the hrm populace avoid the places like the proberbial plague until our university first year dweebs head home to mommy.
I agree with David. Pen tapping, is the end of civilization apparently. What about people slurping or chewing with their god damn mouth open?? I think pen tapping is the least of our civil decay.
Tapping is actually very annoying… but the tappers are almost always completely oblivious.
I concur, Guy…that’s one of my pet peeves, for sure…taptaptaptap, it just irks me.
