THE ROLE OF SPITE IN FEMALE MISOGYNY

“Just making sure it’s finally drilled into your fucked up head that you are out like garbage.” Not Sayin’ it Again

Ordinarily misogyny is associated with male hatred of the female. There are degrees of intensity in such male misogyny of course, extending from the moderate to the pathological and the causes are similarly varied, ranging from resentment over the female’s control of sexual relations and reproduction to a religion-based misogyny in which the afflicted male hates his own weakness of the flesh, fearing the control of the temptress and the consequent loss of his immortal soul. In all cases of male misogyny however, the hatred of the male is directed unequivocally at the female. This is not the case with what initially appears to be a contradiction in terms – that of female misogyny, the hatred of one female for another.

Not Sayin’ it Again provides a classic example of female misogyny. Unlike male misogyny however, the female variety does not originate with a destructive, self-directed psychology. Female misogyny originates from a distinctively female other-directed psychological phenomenon, that of spite. It consists of the malice which females bear, to a greater or lesser extent, for other females.

The spite Not Sayin’ it Again feels for the target of her bitch has nothing to do with the male. Indeed, he is little more than a bystander, a spectator at best who can only view with dismay her gush of malice she spews out against her adversary. He is just the occasion for her venting her spite, not the cause. But what is the cause? What arouses Not Sayin’ it Again’s malicious spite?

Not Sayin’it Again’s spite arises as part of the constellation of distinctly female psychological traits which includes things like jealousy, resentment, malevolence, malice, envy and, of course, spite itself. These traits, to varying degrees, mark the female psychology in general but, when the occasion arises and one or more gain the upper hand, we have the spectacle of a profoundly nasty person like Not Sayin’ it Again discharging her spiteful venom. All that is required is the occasion to do so.

That is why the normal male feels that there is something fundamentally different between him and the female, something he is not able to clearly identify. Males do not possess that female constellation of psychological traits. While they may be competitive they never feel that malicious spite for other males which so distinguishes the female. But now, thanks to Montrealman, he has the answer. He feels that the female is fundamentally different from him because – wait for it – she IS fundamentally different and not in very nice ways.
