Ok folks – biking is the eco way to go – I cycle to work daily – but why the hell do so many people bike on the sidewalks – it is dangerous, stupid and shows so much disregard for pedestrain safety – image if a car did that! You are a vehicle too- get off the side WALKS ( not side cycle paths) and use the street or stay home – I abide by the law, so can you!

They bike on the sidewalks cuz they’re probably too terrified to bike on the streets. Most drivers don’t want them there either.
It’s true Mimi – I’m scared to bike in traffic. If I’m on the sidewalk though, I get the hell out of the way of pedestrians, and I don’t expect them to move to accommodate me. I certainly don’t bike on pedestrian-heavy sidewalks; I find another route. I fucking hate overly aggressive cyclists who expect the world to revolve around them because they’re making an eco-friendly choice. Fucking pussies.
I’m scared enough being in the car when we pass by a cyclist because it seems like we’re gonna hit them everytime. I’d never be able to bike in traffic, I’d much rather walk everywhere.
I Bike back and forth to work also , for the most part I stay on the road but there is some streets in this city where I would be putting my life on the line to stay on the street so in those places I jump on the sidewalk .Like Qwerty I make it a point when I am on a sidewalk to accommodate the pedestrians .I say if anybody has a problem with that they can kiss my ass . I choose to not be runover by some stupid driver .
