A short time ago a certain fiddler told people if they didn’t like the price of gas, they could take a bus. That fiddler was chastised by the populous and spat upon.
A few days ago a certain Orangeman told the populous if they don’t like what’s happening on the Fairview overpass, they can take the bus.
The more things change, the more they stay the same

Up until even a few weeks ago I would have argued that we have to give the NDP a chance; let them prove themselves. They’ve done so really quickly. So much for their being the defender of the defenseless. They ARE all alike.
It’s not a horrible suggestion. Last year, gas prices were high and even regulation was failing at times. That was something that taking the bus/carpool/driving less somehow could of fixed. This time around, safety forces our hand. When the overpass comes down, taking the bus/carpooling/driving less will help make things a bit better trafficwise.
OP, what would you propose to get around this construction that will happen no matter what?
If anything should stay the same it should be that people should stop being selfish drivers and start using mass transit where it’s available.
Orangeman should take the goddamn bus.
Hey, PAS, some of us who drive don’t do it because we’re selfish, we do it because we don’t have 5 hours of our day to devote to getting to and from work which we can drive to (and *gasp* even carpool) in less than 45minutes both ways in traffic…
Just sayin’…
Come on idiot OP, the overpass is in Halifax where there is bus service.
Rodney got shit on from rural Nova Scotians as there is little to no bus service there. This bitch is like comparing apples to oranges. Think before you type, this suggestion was a good one, and should apply all the time not just because the overpass is under construction.
In all fairness taking the bus would have no effect on the price of gas while taking the bus would help to alleviate the traffic congestion caused by the construction. If the city was really on the ball they would have set up an express route that would take people through the construction zone directly downtown and have the route operate for the duration of the project. By making taking the bus a more attractive option the city would be encouraging more people to leave their car at home.
