Tacos please. Like all the other cities in North America. Just some tacos. No more shitty pizza places. No need for more of that east coast donair mystery dead animal(s) with the sugary cum sauce. No need for more expensive boutiquey, locally sourced inspired (white people) tacos. Just some little cuties with enough lime, cilantro and spicy things. Just a baseline. —Mexicali Holocaust

  1. Old El Paso? Go to Mexico? Realize Mexicali isn’t a Mexican resto? So many options…

  2. Damn white people and their taco appropriation. OB, you might be on to something — this could be the next rally! Get your megaphone, bristol board and coloured markers ready cause this one is gonna be a doozie!

  3. Californians started the appropriations with the hard-shelled taco.

And I’d love to see that rally!!

  4. i had a taco craving the other day. drove across town to pick up my buddy to go to habineros in eastern passage. got there with like 7 minutes before close.. the chick inside was just glaring as I headed to the door…great resting bitch face. I asked her if I could come in, she just made another face flipped her off and left…I understand it was close to close, but I would have been in and out in less than 5 minutes. lol went to st Louis instead and had half priced apps!!

  5. Go to Mexico Lindos! I know it’s not super close to the city centre but it will satisfy your desires.

  6. I still can’t figure out how the “donair” became the “invention” of Halifax?!

It’s called Gyro and comes from Eastern Europe! It’s been in Eastern Europe for hundreds of years! Eastern European cuisine includes variations of the gyro. There are lots of gyro shops there. They’re not sold in pizza shops, which aren’t actually very common in Eastern Europe.

Also I can’t taste the difference in Pictou county pizza! I find they all taste the same!

  7. @Eatit I love Mexico Lindo’s! It’s a few minutes away from where I live (Walking Distance).

  8. There is definitely a difference between a gyro and a donair. Just like there’s a difference between a ham sandwich and turkey sandwich. Both sandwiches, different taste. Gyro and donair, both wraps, different taste. No way are you getting a donair tasting Gyro in Europe.

  9. Gyros(Greek)= lamb, yogurt sauce, flatbread

Doniars (Lebanese)= beef, sweet sauce, pita bread

  10. donairs is actually from the words Doner Khebab. I enjoy a Gyro more, with tetztziki sauce over the snot sauce on a donair. ive never had the shits from a Gyro.
