I don’t think the OP is saying that being cold has given them a cold. Just that they are cold and they are sick. No, being cold doesn’t make you sick, but in cold weather people do secrete more and stay inside more which facilitates the spread of germs.
Being outside in the cold restricts blood flow to the nose, which dries out the nose, inhibiting the ability to filter infections. Additionally, when you return to the warm, dry, inside environment, your nose runs, which may cause you to breathe through your mouth, bypassing the filtering effect of your nose, and allowing you to inhale more viruses. As a person who works a LOT with issues of inclusion and current usage terms related to ethnicity and nationality — definitely complicated and ever-shifting territory, especially as emerging nations take control of their lives — I must point out that “Eskimo” is considered an extremely dated term in Canada. Not so in the US, ie. in Alaska, where it is still in somewhat mainstream use.
Not all uses are intentionally racist, but it does have old connotations that modern people are trying to move away from.
While not necessarily intentionally cruel, it is kind of like someone from an older generation calling a person “coloured” or (forgive me) “negro” because it’s what they learned when they were young. But definitely not a word many people care to hear in use now.
Some usages are just leftover from another time, especially with sports teams. Few people would feel comfortable calling a new team the “Eskimos” or the “Redskins” today, and I have to say that second one really makes me cringe.

While I do think 911 was definitely a terrorist attack from “outside” (even though all the hijackers were legally residents of the US), I have always been suspcious about the inability (?) of the American armed forces to prevent the 2nd impact at the WTC, and then the 3re (at the Pentagon, of all places), and were only able to intercept the 4th which was on it’s way to the White House.
I am reluctant to buy into the entire “inside job” theory, but I do think many of the details have been covered up, and that we have never had access to the complete story.
The whole thing being “justification” for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is just too suspicious. I believe there are some distinct parallels with Pearl Harbour as the “reason” the US had to enter WW2.

Kay, WTC7 fell after debris from WTC1 crashed into it and set it on fire. All the other WTC buildings suffered major damage from the collapse of towers 1 and 2. They didn’t just implode in a controlled explosion like you describe. They damaged nearby buildings exactly the way you would expect. Just because the buildings didn’t topple over (which I think has been adequately explained) doesn’t mean their collapse was controlled.
kay obviously has no idea the amounts of money those buildings generated, a lot more than what the outcome did. A little bit of achietecture knowledge would tell you that those buildings weren’t designed for that sort of disaster. As for wiring a building that size for demolition, it’s not a two hour job. It would require a large crew and a hell of a lot of time to do it. Not to mention trying to do it without being seen by the tens of thousands of people that enter, work, etc and exit the building. But then again it would take something you don’t have – Common Sense.

The problem with filling in the blanks on one’s own is that one rarely has the resources to properly assess the situation. It’s one thing to be critical of the official story, it’s another to fabricate your own to satisfy your lack of answers. A lot of the time, conspiracy theorists just try to fit data to the hypothesis rather than generating the hypothesis based on the available data.

Are you saying that the official report is reliable enough to record the fall times, but not reliable enough to support a non-conspiracy mechanism for the collapse? Isn’t that just cherry-picking? Are you also implying that a website like debunking911 is not reliable for lack of resources, but websites like AE911Truth or Loose Change are somehow better?

With the inability to accurately confirm something it leaves it open to be considered a conspiracy or only a theory. The 5 sec difference is a lot of fall time. So say debunking and aethruth have the same credibility, none. You may consider the time published by the gov. but that can be interpreted as more support for aetruth then debunking.
Untill you can prove without a doubt the conspiracy will stay alive. But you won’t be able to, nor will I find enough to convince you. That’s the beauty of a conspiracy theory.

At some point you have to look at the data from both sides and figure out what makes most sense. I don’t think the conspiracy side makes convincing enough arguments. The simplest and most probable explanations are the ones given through the mainstream sources. I’m happy with that.
