A lot of the beggars you see in Halifax are a good reason why the goverment needs to invest a lot of money into the Abbey Lane or NS Hospital, get a ward set up for these people and give them a place to get treatment. I see no reason why citizens need to be confronted by mentally-ill, undermedicated bums.
The hospital is loathe to hospitalize people involuntarily, despite the new law this summer. It costs about $1000 a day to hospitalize. As an aside: your attitude towards the ill and poor makes me puke! Bourgeois assholes are worse than “bums”, as you call them.
