A certain everyday item at your store costs $3 more than at the store across the street. You smirked, then squelched “supply and demand.” So I’m readjusting my demand and you’ve lost a good customer, assclown. —Bitcher

  1. I think everybody should start putting post-it notes on things in stores that say where they can be found for less.

    Who’s in?

  2. be sure to put it under so they only see it after they go to take it off the shelf…
and so the owners don’t just go and remove them all.

you can also get the post-its from giant tiger and save yourself a few cents per pad.

  3. Yep, walking away to another store does eventually speak ‘loudly’ at the cash register, through its eventual silence.

And the post it note idea, could be a bit of icing on the cake, if you have the time and inclination for it. But a store owner can set their own prices for most stuff, and thus … maybe their own doom.

  4. convenience stores are the worst for that shit. remember the green gables. they were charging 3.99 for a pack of 12 weiners, everyone else 1.99. they went belly up because of greed.
the store just down from me, is pretty reasonable, and he is a nice guy. no hassles and just about everyone i know, gets stuff there, even thought the tigar store is just down the road.

  5. A lot of store owners buy their stock from Costco, not a distributer, so the prices get jacked.

Let me guess, the store with the higher prices is open longer.

  6. sucks going straight for the wieners…
    sounds about right.
    it’s always a sausage party when he’s around…

  7. Green Gables didn’t go belly up. They were bought out by Sobeys and are now Needs stores.

  8. What about beans and wieners Mel, beans and wieners!?!? 😉
