To the huge doucher who works at the Superstore, You are the biggest douch in all of douch history you even beat Andy Dick at douching. P.S. It’s so big… douch

Which superstore? I have definitely encountered some douches at the superstore. Was it a cashier or manager?
Maybe it was the douche cashier that gave me a hard time when I went through the 1-10 items cash at the joe howe store WITH 10 ITEMS. I counted them in front of him and told him he’s more than welcome to do the same. He told me he’d get “written up” if he didn’t tell everyone it was the 1-10 item cash with his shitty little smirky attitude. I told him he was full of shit because I too am (well WAS) a cashier at superstore and I knew he was just playing his little “I’m a cashier I enforce rulez!” power trip. Told customer service on him too.THAT guy was a douche. Not only for being an asshole, but for putting a bad face on schleps like myself who always makes/made it a point to be friendly and nice to everyone who came through my cash. I used to get comments from customers on how cheery I was (often bewildered as to WHY I could be so cheery when my job obviously sucked).
Lots of those kind of people seem to work at SS versus Sobeys. All the SS types I encounter seem to hate their jobs while the ones at Sobeys doing similar work seem to actually manage to be pleasant most of the time. The Braemar SS is particularly bad for this. A while back I was in a lineup at cash with 2 other people ahead of me. The first person asked the cashier (whose name begins with J) if he could give her a couple of $10 bills with her change instead of $20s. No, he rudely said, you must go to the customer service desk. The next person asked for something to be double bagged and he did so with a loud sigh and a look of disgust on his face. Meanwhile, since I only had a few things, I unloaded my cart and began to move it into the adjacent closed & empty cash line. He YELLS loudly at me not to do that! Push it through here he says — despite the fact that there were 2 people blocking the way. Idiot, like many of the people working in that particular store which is very poorly managed.
I believe it is the location of the Store.The Super Store at exit #9 Elmsdale has great staff, very friendly and helpful.I can’t say anything bad about the people at the Sobey’s at exit #9 Elmsdale either.Perhaps its just the people who work there…or maybe the management staff are difeerent/better & that shows up on the stores floor in the attitude of the staff.But I don’t have any experience of these particular stores you speak of.
Keith – that’s because working for Superstore generally leaves employees lifeless, bitter husks. The dumb shit they have to put up with, while not an excuse, probably goes a long way towards explaining the attitude of at least some of them. I have family and friends who have gone all the way from Dominion/IGA to Superstore, and it’s just been a straight slide downhill. Some of the lifers used to be really happy doing their jobs. Loblaws took care of that.
