Don’t you know. It’s to piss you off.
yup
Yep, that’s pretty much the only reason. They use the same excuse when they let the roads fall apart and not bother to fix them for months/years on end. Its too bad we all have to suffer when its all just to piss off one person. Why don’t you move?
Speaking of summer roadwork:
I was walking down Queen street today and saw some municipal employees working on a section of sidewalk and street. While there were about five people doing actual work, there were two others just “watching” from the side.
One of the two watching from the side (with vest/helmet/workgloves/boots/etc.) was going to work on a scratch ticket! The other was paying attention to the scratch ticket master.
You want them to start it during? Or in the tiny window between? In the middle of the night?
I don’t gamble, but LOVE beer. That said; I never have a nip during work. Its more refreshing afterwards – when I’m all sweaty and tanned.
Another fucking post about “damned if they do and damned if they don’t”. Be happy the repairs are going on.
I think the OP’s point was that he/she wishes they would wait to start their work until after rush hour ends. That way they wouldn’t be holding up traffic when the most cars are on the road, in a hurry to get to work. I can’t say I disagree.
NGF, I learned from this very bitch board people CAN’T work at a laboring job without taking a break. I now hesitate to judge a road crew that’s not 100% utilized at every moment. You should do the same.
I dunno when I see the “roadworkers” blocking off the street and standing there drinking coffee it pisses me off.
Funny how a restaurant or a clothing store can coordinate workers breaks such that service isn’t interrupted but a road crew cannot? Surely you could have one or two guys take a break at a time instead of all of them at once.
Miles you couldn’t be more right.
