All these swarmings, shootings, and robberies happening; this really never happened near as much when I was younger 10 years ago, and the level of brutality simply seems to increase and the penalties for those responsible don’t. However, if someone actually stood up to some of these kids and say, turned the table so to speak, or hurt them, they would most likely be prosecuted harshly. This to me makes no sense whatsoever. If I or someone I was with was about to be physically harmed, I would certainly do everything I could to prevent that, it almost seems that the only way to curb violent youth is to become more violent with them and show them that what they do to others is not just or acceptable in today’s society. The Young Offenders Act is a joke, as is enforcing it. There has to be stiffer penalties or I fear that at some point things just may get to far out of hand. You can blame parents all you like but ultimately it is the individual’s fault for committing set offenses as well as their peers. This was an amusing little satire/exploitation flick at the time. (a young Michael J. Fox gets hospitalized by the toughs Bwa-Ha-Ha).

Now it just seems quaint.
It makes me laugh when the police ask the public to come forward with info on these little punk ass fuckers. Assaults, shootings, robberies, and violence are as common in the poor areas of HRM as a fat person at McDonalds. Those residents have come to accept it as commonplace and have no interest in curbing the violence.
Yeah i’m pretty scared of going out after 10 now.
said it before o.p., get a gun and take out a few. if everyone knocked off 2 or 3 a night, halisux would be a good city again. the cops don’t give a fuck anyway, just makes their job easier. and opens court dockets too.
