Why not instead of building a new bridge or tunnell to cut down on traffic, why don’t the offer a commuter rail, like a Go Train. That would take cars off the roads, genius!

To be clear: the bridge or tunnel proposal comes from the Halifax-Dartmouth Bridge Commission, which is a provincial crown corporation— not the HRM.
Not to say the HRM isn’t still stupid though, right?
$1.1 Billion – $1.4 Billion for this bridge or tunnel. The whole Confederation Bridge cost a Billion and it was over budget. I know it was 12+ years ago, but it is 13KM long. Where the hell is the money going. This city loves to spend (waste) money.
Hovercraft ferry service. ’nuff said. Pabst Blue Ribbon!
good point scott if your numbers are right. It had better be a jewel-encrusted bridge for that cost….or at least toll free.
that would be far too logical for anyone, whether it be the Bridge Commission, or HRM, to consider.
