To the fine waiter who told me how geographical I was yesterday for ordering the California roll and Alaska roll, I thoroughly enjoyed being geographical and hope you continue to be witty to customers because it makes a very delicious meal even more wonderful. —F fan

  1. RC, have you tried the stuff, not made with kelp? It’s a lot better, I don’t like the green stuff much either.

  2. Actually no…I tried it about 10 years ago and never since. I’m like a toddler with food…I don’t like trying new things. 🙂

  3. Now you say that… but you’re off to try a burrito at some point!

there are so many different kinds of sushi. I really, really enjoy it – but for some reason I haven’t had a real craving since it started snowing. It’s def a summer food for me.

  4. Well I am craving sushi…which is only cause I’m preggers and can’t eat raw fish.
I’ll try a burrito because I know I love tacos…and fajita…and it looks like that only with rice?

  5. No way man, I don’t want my food to still look like the animal it came from. Ugh.

And you can get “warm” sushi here in town too – can we say: battered and fried sushi rolls with a spicy mayo on top? yummy!

  6. The first time I ate sushi, I picked up the mashed avocado on the side of my plate and popped the whole teaspoonful or so into my mouth before the waiter could get the words out of her mouth to warn me against it.

  7. Oh dear Kim – I can’t believe you survived to tell the tale! I’m working into it, my tolerance is far enough up that I usually eat about 1/2 of it in a sitting now. 🙂

  8. Alright…I’m in! I’ll try it as soon as I’m not pregnant. I don’t chance anything just in case. It looks so good at the sushi place in the building I work at….and the line ups at lunch are so long so they must be doing something right.
