It’s really startin’ to bug me how close minded some people are now-a-days. When you and your fiends are walking down the street having a PRIVATE converstion, and some slack-jawed thumb sucker on the street decideds to put his two cents in. I mean, I’m all about freedom of speach…but c’mon now…You wern’t included in our conversatioin to begin with, what makes you think you can just walk by and skip along with our tune for two?

“Who the fuck asked you?” could have put this eavesdropper in his place. Some people are just ignorant.
Having a PRIVATE conversation in a PUBLIC place would usually call for a tone just above a whisper. If you don’t want your story to be heard all over the street and, therefor, subject to public opinion, just lower your voice. And the next time some stranger chimes in realize your being fucking loud mouth and hold your tongue if you think rudeness is about to escape.
imma agree with Kay on this. Can you really expect privacy when you are in public? Somewhat, but you cant expect someone to not hear. It says you were walking down the street, that implies that your conversation wasnt all that loud, you were loud enough that a third party heard. Is that really you trying to keep it private? Lets say you were talking about trying to find a paticular building, and a third party heard that knew where the building was…….. would you have the same rant if the nosey person said something then? My suggestion, try not expecting privacy walking down a sidewalk.
Well, regardless of how loud they were talking, if they were talking about something that concerned only them and some random person just jumped in with a comment, as indicated, that is just simply rude. Yes, whatever they say that can be heard by a passerby is totally in the public domain, but it is not an invitation for strangers to jump in and comment.
depends what you were talking about to be honest you can walk around being racist for example!
