You know what pisses me off? These stupid people that fear and want to stop bringing in 25,000 Syrian refugees into Canada, do you honestly think they are not going to be closely watched? Do you think they are coming with belt bombs and AK47’s? Why do you even fear terrorists? Is that not giving in to what they are trying to do to people? Do you fucking realize that your more likely to get killed by a moose, struck by lightning or win the lottery than be killed or injured by a terrorist?
Even if there are terrorists with the refugees then we are just taking the burden off the rest of the free world where they may strike, yes they may kill if they are not cought, if there are terrorists with the refugees and we don’t take them in then they will strike at someone else, so why can’t we take some of that burden to stop this terrorism? The price of freedom has always been paid in blood and will continue to be paid in blood until all of the people of the world unite to stop fearing each other.
Get a grip on yourselves and stop being racist and start being Canadian helping countries in need. People need to stop being fearful of slim possibilities and get their heads out of their ass.
People need to realize by fearing terrorists is giving them the support they are looking for, it makes people dislike Muslims, that leads to racism, that leads to some of them to hate us back feeling unsafe and hated in our country, that can lead to radicalism of those who even were born in Canada that are of that religion and can push them into terrorism.
I hate religion and you can hate religion too but don’t hate the people who worship it because they are only human like you or me.
So please fight terrorism and Stop The Fear.
Morn the losses, support freedom but Stop The Fear.
If you don’t then you will be unknowingly supporting terrorism and taking freedom from innocent people such as yourself by spreading fear and racism that will cause stricter laws the government will put in place to give you the illusion that you are safe.

There is quite a kerfuffle happening there. Zwarte Piets are going gold at De Bienkorf; there was a dark-skinned Piet in white-face in Dam Square. Some Piets are still black faced but have lost the red lips and gold hoop earrings. Some Piets remain traditional but wear body armour.
As for Meaty, he sends his love to all his supporters, especially Mod (ALL HAIL MOD). The weed is too good to come back so he’s opted to file a refugee claim there. He doesn’t get banned from the message boards there – they have a thing about freedom of speech, thought and expression there. Craziest thing, wha…?

Very hard post to read but I think the heart of the message is in the right place. We should welcome the Syrian refugees. These poor people are fleeing for their lives!
Well let’s see what you say if one of your friends or family members are victim of a terrorist attack. To bring in that amount of people from anywhere without proper security checks is asinine just to make an unrealistic deadline. Now the government is forcing some military personnel to leave their homes so refugees can be accommodated. They should have had all the logistics in place first and not force any Canadian from their residences or bumped off or lower on the list for subsidized housing.
Pinky, what is wrong with you? Make them find their own homes? You hope others treat them poorly? It’s not fair they get special treatment? Let’s see what you think is fair when you’ve had to deal with one tenth what these families have had to. I’m sure they would be thankful to be alive, and not to be given a transit discount. Give me a break.
Don’t confuse hate with common sense. I don’t hate them. I would say the same thing about that amount of refugees from any country. You have to have your logistics settled first such as accommodations, security checks, etc. To rush it, not being prepared, is asinine.
Taint, are you going to leave your home so refugees can live there? Are you taking any of them into your home? So why are service personnel any different?
I understand that our security services are investigating potential refugees to make sure that we minimize the risk of taking anyone who might be problematic. That sounds judicious and prudent but Canada has done an excellent job of integrating refugees in the past so I am confident there is little risk.
Now, if only the security services could be asked to do the same with our local population. Do some early identification of the trouble makers and potential criminals. Deport them to an island somewhere before they rob, injure and murder us. Now that would be some real security! I’m half joking but do you catch my drift?

Are you completely sure that’s why they are coming here, Taint. Because our military bombed their homes to rubble? That just doesn’t seem to make sense. Becasue the stary I keep hearing is that they are trying to get away from the lunatics making their lives unlivable. Unless we lost and the mainstream media didn’t tell us. Maybe as part of the peace treaty they get first dibs on base housing. Maybe Rabble.ca are right.
I’m waiting for the first time they riot because they don’t like their temporary accommodation and the NDP ask , totally without irony, why the government made people live in such squalor.
Yes, that’s the only reason, Dr.Z, and it certainly has nothing to do with our foreign policy surrounding cheap energy security. They are undergoing a civil war as well, but to pretend that our (the western world) fingerprints aren’t all over this would be like living a life with your head up your ass. We are running bombing campaigns in Syria and have been for the better part of the year, you know, the ones that Trudeau promised to stop. I must be wrong though, the bombs we dropped landed softly and handed out flowers.
The only thing I fear of refugees coming into this province (NS) is that they’ll receive better attention and treatment than what the homeless, poor and hungry aren’t receiving here now.

And our military personnel might be losing their quarters, because they went off the reservation and started this bombing campaign on their own? And this needs to happen as some form of retribution? Same with the cheap energy security argument, since the entire region doesn’t appear secure at all.
The Liberals finally fucking realized it is impossible to bring 25,000 refugees into Canada before the end of the year.
Over 100,000 Muslims have been killed by fundamentalist Muslims whom are terrorists. The security guard who ran to stop one of the bombers at one of the entrances of the stadium in France who was killed during the recent attacks was Muslim. There are Muslims fighting Isis on the ground in Syria right now.
Terrorism has always been everyone’s problem, and turning away refugees because they are Muslim can be used by the terrorists as a recruiting tool into their twisted view of our culture.
Isis runs on dichotomy. We must not allow them to divide us as that will make it easier for them to both grow, and thus strike.
As for terrorists posing as refugees just to enter the country, some my get through, but remember what has been said countless times by anyone dealing with a shadow enemy like Isis:
