I am sick and tired of people complaining about their weight. I am sick of hearing how uhappy they are about being fat when every chance they get they are eating junk. Stop eating cookies, chips, take out…Food that makes you stay and get fat. Are you a dumbass? No wonder you are overweight! If you want to lose weight start trying to eat healthy foods that you make you feel better about yourself. Sure sometimes we all love to eat something that is not great for ourselfs, but if you eat shit food on a daily basis, you ARE going to be a fat ass. Stop complaining and get off that ass to lose that ass.

If you’re going to complain about being fat yet aren’t willing to do something to change it (healthy, balanced eating and exercise) you really should stfu for a change. Nobody wants to hear about your weight problems which you are unwilling to do something about it.You do know that Atlantic Canadians are the fattest in Canada don’t you? People really should get their heads out of the sand and stop denying that there is a weight problem. Stop with the beer, chicken wings, pizza, donairs, cigarettes and Tim Hortons. Get out of the processed and prepackaged food section and start making proper meals. And get at least an hour or two of exercise per week!

People need more understanding than “stop eating, fatty” to overcome this. Would you tell an alcoholic or a problem gambler to just stop? Yes, I have overcome that hurdle. It’s damn hard work and that’s why many people don’t bother. I walked an hour a day for a year and controlled my portions, cut out all junk food. Result? I lost over 50 pounds in that year. It wouldn’t hurt for people to have a little more discipline and self-control but we live in an instant gratification society so what can one expect? If you bow to outside pressures (the media and their view of perfect), you will never break the cycle.

I have a good friend who’s been seriously overweight since around her mid 20’s. She’s a very pretty, funny, intelligent, person. Although she has a personal trainer and is a strict vegetarian who cooks only healthy, low-fat food, nothing she does seems to help her lose more than a few pounds, and what she does lose always eventually creeps back. This girl is FAR from lazy, so I understand how frustrating and depressing it must be, especially that she’s only had this problem for about 5 years, since she entered her late 20’s’. Her mother and older sister (also healthy) were the same. People shouldnt be so quick to judge others who are overweight; they dont all scarf Bigmacs for breakfast!

The number of take outs, fast food joints, drive through coffee/food/banking options has increased. They don’t just pop up for no reason. They exist because there is a demand for it. First off, there is a drastic change of life-style involved. It takes huge motivation to get out of a rut that is dependant on fast, cheap food. There is a commitment of time to prepare meals, go shopping and exercise.Secondly, if you’ve ever actually been fat and managed to change to a healthy life-style (I have), you’d know how slow the progress is in going from overweight to healthy. You won’t see any progress for a long time which is totally and completely frustrating and upsetting when you’ve invested a lot of time, energy and emotion into changing the way you live. It makes you want to go eat a whole cake.And then there is something that you seem to have a lot of trouble grasping, that sometimes people use food as a crutch.
