So the sleep stalker is STILL roaming the streets of Halifax? Even after all of the descriptions of this guy have reportedly been the same for the past few years? And it’s obvious his behaviour is escalating. Why the hell hasn’t he been caught yet?!
One of my girlfriend’s best friends was a victim, my former roommate was a victim… and that’s dating back several years with the same description of the guy. When the hell is this going to stop? —Frustrated

I agree, OP, dude needs to be caught, but people have to protect themselves by being safe, locking doors and windows, etc. And the description of the guy seems specific, but seriously, it could cover about 1/3 of the male population if you think about it.
yeah, he is still roaming, due to the fact that the cops are too busy looking for the swarmers and all those evil fucking gun hoarding hunters cel phone users while driving, and of course those smoking in public places.
No sympathy for any of the “victims”. There are simple ways to avoid this sort of thing. They’re called locks.
Looking for swarmers? Really? I doubt that. They are too busy with catching people turning in those “no left turn” streets, texting while driving (I’ve seen that), and promoting the need to have the gun registry.
It’s highly unfortunate they haven’t caught this guy yet, but like ralmn said, the description is fairly generic.

I think the police could turn this into a win/win situation. They should invite the swarmers to become part of their task force and go after anyone who peeps or stalks. That would make the pervert think twice, and the cops would always know where the swarmers are (cause they would secretly insert a GPS chip under their skin…..) Both problems solved!
There was another attack last night…but they’re saying they don’t know if it’s related to the other swarming. As for the south end watcher…why are there no posters up with this man’s description anywhere? Halifax is not that big of a place….there should be posters all over! Someone knows this man. Unfortunately one of the victims or some organization other then the police are going to have to start canvassing and try to get this guy caught. Think about that Gallant woman who was murdered by her husband….the only reason he was finally arrested years later was because her sisters “the victims” wouldn’t let it go…wouldn’t stop hounding police and news until he was behind bars.

Secondly, why not one person who has awoke to this asshole has had the presence of mind to have prepared by having a blunt instrument or can of bear spray handy !
I mean after all he’s in your home, all you need to do is take him out, if you badly hurt him or even kill him, the cops may charge you, but no jury in the land will convict you. Once its shown this intruder was in your home.

Bear mace is actually pretty fucked, if you sprayed it inside it would stick to everything and it doesn’t take a lot. Just a squirt will ruin your week.

Christ, the last case there were 3 woman in the house, none fought back, none tried to call 911 when they heard the boots walking in the house, like wtf. Leave a knife near your bed or something. Sleep with a baseball bat if you have to. If this fucker breaks in, sever his dick off! Don’t expect the cops to find him. He’s one sneaky fucker.
It’s easy to say lock your doors and windows, but when I was subletting this summer when this guy was making appearances, the apartment was so hot even with fans that it was a hard choice about whether to open any windows. And the door lock was a joke – a flimsy lock right next to a probably easily breakable window. If I’d been staying longer than 2 months I would have gotten something done about it for sure. Luckily, my bedroom window was higher off the ground and my bedroom door locked, but I worried about my roommate’s room and the living room.
And someone said keep a knife by your bed?? That’s the fastest way to get yourself killed….pretty sure this guy could overpower me in a second, why hand him a weapon when he seems to not have one?
