No, no, no it isn’t any N words or GLBT terminology, etc. It’s a word that people used to use when someone fibbed, told a little white lie, misspoke, told a porkie etc – that word is LIAR. I won’t go into the reason for the use of it, as it’s long winded and LTWWB attention span is short. Also, what’s wrong with BASTARD, instead of born out of wedlock, love child, etc?
There are plenty of good old fashioned words that are still in the dictionary, but the PC weenies have everyone scared of using them, WHY? —Silly Old Duffer

Ob…you haven’t been on any job site I’ve worked recently.
Someone mentioned us getting a swear jar…problem is they don’t make any ~^(#!+@ jars big enough .
And if they did we’d need another truck to drag it around with us.
That is because when you call a liar a liar they have been busted. No one likes to be busted. Look at Jerry Sandusky. He just got out of jail. He thinks he was just “foolin'” around. Well he is a liar. Who wants to be compared to that gutter trash?
Hmmmmm – neither of those words is in my 2012 edition of the Canadian Human Rights Commission (very) Abridged Dictionary of Acceptable English.
Frig, what a gyp!.
haha, i hear you, more. all those years of working in kitchens has given me a potty mouth, i want kids to learn those words from their parents, not me
I was chastised as a kid for using bastard…
but I heard it every so often on tv so I figured it was ok.
somehow, I think that media is what defines the good and bad words as it is what we’re exposed to the most.
I still don’t think I should be hearing ‘shit’ on the radio in the morning /afternoon though…
(the rare occasions I get a lift to/from work and have NO control over turning the fucking thing off…)
It just seems to stand out when sung….
kinda like the tyler durden flashes in fight club.
the whole… did I just hear that? factor.
hmm “silly old duffer” “told a porkie” baz?
PG – guilty as charged.
My first use of the F word was a classic – I heard the word at school and wasn’t aware of the meaning, so at tea-time (I’m English, we do that) I opened my yap and said “please pass the fucking sugar” – suddenly I saw stars and the chair went backwards, the old man clocked me pretty quickly.
That’s because they are not liars, they just got their facts wrong.
Ha ha ha – the one and only time I ever got my mouth washed out with soap was for calling my Gram a liar. She had taken my favorite hat and hid it behind her back. I asked he nicely to please give it to me and she showed me empty hands. Well, to me that was a lie; to my mother it was an excuse to yank me into the bathroom and force a bar of ivory into my mush. I never got my hat back, either. Good thing I didn’t call her a thief, as well.
aah ivory, it would leave bits on your back molars *gag* christmas story segue http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgx1sSfriIA
I hold no bitterness. I was 22. I knew better than that.

Does anyone remember Bart Simpson singing the Bastard song on the eposiode where they found out Hommer’s father wasn’t really his father. That was reallllly funny.

Did you know Twit means pregnant goldfish? Words are cool! 🙂
socialist.
?
HK, how is that possible?
the female lays the eggs before they’re fertilized….
so…. no it doesn’t.
I think it’s a test… if someone believes it means that… then there ya go.

The first time I swore to my mum I was 13. I told her I wouldn’t eat Spam, because it was made out of pig’s assholes. Nowadays, I say ‘the part that jumped over the fence last,’ which connotes the same meaning in a much less vul-gah way…

OB, use whatever words you want. Rarely will anyone correct you for it. Those PC fucks don’t shove it.
Sometimes a word has been used in a certain derogatory way for so long that it becomes “swear” word. For example, a faggot is a slender cut of wood like kindling, a cock is a hen’s counterpart, nigger a bastardization of Negro etc.
I remember telling my mom that a kid I knew was a “bugger” meaning that he was a pest, an annoyance, one who bugs. However, I got into trouble for using such a term without an explanation as to why I was in trouble. I was told in no uncertain terms never to use that word again. Eventually, I found out what it meant, a sodomizer but geez she didn’t have to get so mad.
