Driving 15km in a 50 zone… please I gotta get to work so I can contribute to your welfare cheque. I don’t have all day, move. If the big ass van you’re driving is too big for you – you should get a smaller car, prob less scary to drive for you. —Not Everyone is Retired or is a Housewife / Did You Catch Up On Your Soaps Today?

Every morning I’m behind people that drive past the speed limit sign by the Long Lake parking lot that says 80 and they’re doing, if I’m lucky, 60.
When I retire, I plan to drive around during the rush hours doing, oh, lets say 20 kms below the speed limit and I’m going to let in every side street waiter. With my left turn signal on.
Maybe that’s the bitch who was driving on the Circ that someone complained about. Although once again, another bitch that bitches don’t know how to drive.
…and wave the whole time snubiz, like the queen
I get pissed off at people going 45 in a 50 zone, but if someone was going 15 I think someone should throw objects at their vehicle and threaten them.
personally, I think 50kmh is too fast on residential streets, school zones, and playgrounds. 30-40 kmh is better.
Right on! But let me elaborate … I drive for a living so I know what your talking about. However, it’s not just the the people you mentioned that are the problem. More often than not, you get people from these small outer communities who still like to drive and treat Halifax like its a small town. It’s not, its a city and people need to learn to pick up the pace. I totally agree with you!
I disagree. the fast drivers are also the rudest.
We agree GV, speed tends to bring the jerk out in people.
To those who get annoyed with slow drivers, a piece of advice: when planning your trip, always give yourself an extra 15 minutes. Then you’ll always be on time, even if there are slow drivers getting in your way.
In general I find driving in this city (and most “cities”) quite frustrating. It’s far more enjoyable to commute by bicycle. Try it.
Funny thing…
when I drive down Connaught (or any other street on my commute) in the morning, I pay attention to the street lights, if I see one a good distance ahead that just turned red, I let go of the gas and coast. I watch everyone else fly past doing 70 and than slam on their brakes, I guess they just wanted to get to that red light extra quick, than I cruise up to them just as the light turns green and usually pass them at that point and with more fuel left in my tank too!
did you ever stop to think that he might have a very volatile explosive on board. nitro comes to mind. either that, or you were making an ass of self, by blowing horn, and pissing them off. i wouldn’t let you oass either, if this was the case, and it seems to be.
if you can park, get out, and run up beside them to tell them they’re being a dick head…
then yes, they are going entirely too slow.
Shut up and stop stereotyping.
OP stop stressing out. I gotta get to work so i can contribute to the quadruple bypass surgery you’re sure to have eventually. That shit doesn’t pay for itself you know..
