To be honest, I kinda like Gaga and her outrageousness – she’s more intriging and interesting than Madonna ever was.

Frankly I dont mind lady Gaga she is nothing but a publicity stunt. Her outfits do take away from her music.
The analogy to Madonna is actually very accurate, as neither of these whores have an ounce of musical talent and both are incredibly popular due to image and shock value. It works for a lot of “musicians” i.e. Britney Spears, KISS, Marilyn Manson, Alice Cooper, etc…

At least in Madonna’s day the trannies made an effort, there was a sense of professionalism, of high standards to be upheld. Mr. Gaga is no more more convincing as a woman than that big rubbery thing that does the fashion critiques on Entertainment Tonight. Not that I’d ever admit to watching it. GaGa is fine, and as others have said, is this generation’s Madonna. There is, however, no explanation for the popularity of Beyonce. Overblown, over the top, and overdone. Whatever talent she has is obscured by 100 guys in SWAT uniforms and enough fan equipment to run a wind tunnel.
But she’s easy on the glims in a way that Kenny West just isn’t.

Paingirl……The B of DF is awesome….what a theme song…..Love it to Death is his best works…….a fantastic album…….Alice slowly got less and less good from that debut du brilliance. Since you picked that theme song…..I’ll go with I’m Eighteen.
I enjoy her music. She’s not as deep as Lennon but she is a refreshing act in today’s boring music scene. She offers more than other “divas” like Britney, Jessica or Pink. Then again I’ve been a “new” fan since her bloody performance at the VMAs a few months back.
One thing I notice is that the modern hip hop fans are the ones who dislike LGG but will praise lame acts like Pit Bull or Sean Kingston at the same time.
I’ll take the spectacle that is the Gaga over the wannabe that is a bald Britney Spears.

I don’t like her music… it’s not my taste at all. But I like that she goes over the top with everything performance-wise. I really respect artists that can perform, it’s not easy… and the ones that go above and beyond are fun to watch. It’s entertainment… people take music too seriously sometimes.

I grew up on Alice Cooper so I took to MM really easily despite my advanced years. Gotta say though, Only Women Bleed is as bad of a cash in attempt as the KISS ‘disco’ album. Shit like Billion Dollar Babies, Novocaine, and Cold Ethel will never get old, though.

Ok, ok, granted Alice is much better than other shock artists BUT he would not have gained his popularity if not for his horror show concerts.
I don’t really see what Alice cooper and Manson have to do with this bitch. Shock artists that use blood and gore on stage and the type of over the top wacky acid trip-like stuff lady gaga uses in her performances really aren’t the same thing. Mindless blood and gore is an easy guaranteed shock. Creating a show with the same shock value without using it isn’t easy, she puts a lot of work into it.
They are the same thing, fizz, as they are using something other than the music to gain popularity and notoriety. I don’t care what effects Lady Googoo is using, the bottom line is that she is a terrible “musical” artist, and that fact can’t hide behind all her imagery.
