I wish Metro Transit would spring for some more benches in the Woodside ferry terminal. Whenever I’m there there are 30 to 40 people standing around and seating for 9. There are plenty at the Halifax and Alderney terminals.

This is a good suggestion OP, and have them closer to the actual stop too. When the Woodside ferry goes all day, I think you may see the addition, but don’t wait. Throw the suggestion out there to HRM and/or the councillor for Woodside. It may stick.
I’d like to see some seating inside the terminal at Mumford. At least then elderly people can have a seat in the winter.
Isn’t is ridiculous how barren our stops are…and Woodside is sad…worse than some third world countries…Isnt the nscc over there now and the hospitals ect. ect. SHouldn’t that ferry be running over there at night and be a hub in WOodside!? Holy GOd…splurge some of that money please for lighting on the path to the school before it gets too dark to walk to night class…who designed all that? They obviously do not walk or ride the bus or ferry.
Waiting for the ferry at the Halifax terminal makes me feel like I’m in a cattle pen. All 3 ferry terminals could use a little sprucing up.
The woodside terminal could be worse.
They could make you row the boat across, to save on fuel costs !
Or they could really cut back & you could swim 🙂
I guess I’m the only one who’s ever sat down on a floor.
I love the broken clock on the harbourside of the building.
Hey, it is right twice a day.
The waiting-room style seating rows that filled the dumpster when the old residence at the NS was demolished recently could have made for comfy and very cheap seating for the terminal, instead it ends up in the landfill.
You are transit users! You get Nothing!! NOTHING!!! And you will be happy with it!!!
I second the Mumford terminal suggestion! They need a few benches lining the walls for those who cannot stand for long periods of time, especially when it’s cold or raining.
It’s a shame that that shit-smearing pyromaniacs continually try to destroy the terminal and everything in it. I suspect that, and absence of security, contributes to the lack of basic infrastructure at the terminal. It was shocking to see the Sackville terminal in comparison– much nicer digs! (Clean washroom, reasonably priced drink and snack machines, etc…)
