Dear boots: I love you. The very sight of you make me happy. You are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn and you’ve held up well over these past 3 years. But you need to stop making that terrible squeaking sound when I walk on the tiled floor at work. It’s embarassing. You never used to do this. What is up with you?

Perhaps it is the mouse living in them when you put them in storage for offseason.
Surely you cannot mean you’ve worn the same shoes for 3 years day in and day out now?
I’m lucky to get 6 months out of a good pair before I’m wearing through the tread.
