This morning, I was walking behind a guy down Tower road to South Street. Every morning I cross the same crosswalk at the intersection of Tower and South and it is by FAR the worst crosswalk to get through. The guy ahead of me by a few steps in the crosswalk was almost struck by a woman who was obviously (head tilted so far down she couldn’t even look over her sunglasses to see the road) texting a driving. He could have reached out and smacked her window.
I see many bad drivers who don’t yield to pedestrians already in this crosswalk and some even speed up to try and get around the pedestrians on the shoulder. It is an absolute disgrace considering it is a common walking route during the day and also beside the VG. Seriously people, stop being so stupid and putting pedestrian lies in danger! Get off your f*cking phones and realise that the extra .1 seconds you think you save by speeding through a crosswalk is not worth someone’s life. —Pissed Off Pedestrian

YES this crosswalk is the WORST, for both pedestrians and drivers. If you’re turning off Tower onto South in either direction, you’re guaranteed to have to wait forever while like 15 people cross and 10 cars creep in the middle of the intersection instead of letting you through. I go out of my way to avoid it. Thought it was just me !!
