Dear fellow humans of Halifax; I’m a friendly sort of person. I don’t mind making small talk with strangers at the bus stop, the doctor’s office, the DMV, or any other place where people are forced to cool their heels in close proximity. We can chat about the weather, or sports, or the city’s snow removal performance. Even politics isn’t off the table as long as you’re not batshit insane. But unless I know you well, by which I mean you are a member of my immediate family or circle of close friends, I do not want to know about your health problems. At all. That shit is private. —Too nice, maybe?

  1. I agree totally. Everyone has issues, i think the problem is that a lot of people don’t really understand that theirs is not the only one. Start spewing your problems right back. If you gotta lie to make your problem sound worse than their’s, do it. Someone tells you about their heart attack, you re-but with the story about the time your child died. Don’t have a dead kid? Who cares, you shut the person up. If you can get threw the morality of the lie you’ll never have to listen to a dumb stranger ever again. This should go without saying but, don’t use the dead kid lie if there’s chance you’ll ever see the person again. Honestly, I think your too nice, small talk is for dummies.

  2. Hey everyone!!!
Something personal about me: Imma dude and I had sex with my very first guy! I’m almost 28 and banged 249 women so I decided I wanted to know what sex with a dude is like! Yeah!!! Still prefer the ladies though!
