About 1.5-2 weeks ago, my boyfriend came across a beautiful little calico cat (with no collar…so we’re thinking an indoor cat got out) on FHP in Cole Harbour across from the high school, who’d just been hit by a car.

Him and another lady did what they could to help your kitty, but his/her injuries were too severe. Boyfriend says he doesn’t believe the cat suffered long, and feels terribly that he couldn’t do more. He made sure to move kitty off the road.

Of course the arsehole driver of the car who hit the cat didn’t stick around to take responsibility for their actions…shame on them!
🙁

I hope this reaches the owner, so they can stop wondering what happened to their cat. —Sorry for your loss 🙁

  1. Very sad, OP, however, you shouldn’t assume the driver knew that he/she hit the poor kitty. These things only take a split second and, depending on factors like the time of day, the amount of traffic and speed of said traffic, it is possible the driver was either unaware he/she hit puss or unable to stop.

RIP Calico Kitty – sounds like a country song.

  2. Another pussy gets creamed in Dartmouth …. and the creamer never sticks around which is why there are so many single baby-mommas in the area.

  3. So sorry to owners of cat. I’m a cat lover, had a calico cat when younger…if the driver had known, should have licence taken away for lack of human decency.

  4. This is why you shouldn’t let fluffy out. If the cat wants out, put it on a leash so they don’t get out of the yard and get hit by a car or become breakfast for a wild animal. Doing this for a cat is no different than doing it for a dog. Afterall how many dog hit by cars stories are reported compared to cats. You are not showing love for letting your cat, or dog, roam free.

  5. There were signs up all over lampposts in cole harbor for the last 2 years, those people were tryin’ to find their lost calico and even offered a reward of $500! I wonder if its the same one. White cat with different coloured patches on it. Assholes would tear down the posters every time. Sad story.
